One of my favorite adventures was "floating" down the Willamette River with our family friends Timmy and Riley. It was a beautiful day and turned into quite the adventure when two of our rafts popped and we got stuck on an island in the middle of the river until around sunset. It was one of those moments that is funny now but at the time was a little crazy. There is also a lake about 15 minutes from my apartment that I went to a lot to get some relief from the hot sun! I thought it was suppose to be cooler here! Most of my summer I was sitting in a classroom however, 12 units in summer school is a crazy idea by the way. After summer school ended I headed back to California to finish up my summer for about a month and a half, which is a whole other blog post :). So far every new season in Eugene is my new favorite season because they are all so amazing!!<br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjVVuEn6Wpx-q4yLjzr9dDx3Gf3nQIfMhbB0aALjWHhcbjVl3OK3Zlfmq5T6fqeXlFkI1pz0IuG_z2C1WvqjkqFLiRsduwA7UiYLra8bjvaG5Vha081bk5wNJTVN8-0hP3X7R9P8v8cdIY/s1600/floating13.jpg"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjVVuEn6Wpx-q4yLjzr9dDx3Gf3nQIfMhbB0aALjWHhcbjVl3OK3Zlfmq5T6fqeXlFkI1pz0IuG_z2C1WvqjkqFLiRsduwA7UiYLra8bjvaG5Vha081bk5wNJTVN8-0hP3X7R9P8v8cdIY/s400/floating13.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5404943951859144546" /></a><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhCBwkrDDWCzAaIeEx7qz_sT4cgJpFLVG4ptO0gQyVqM320rlpFyfESxEqLJt9TCch4UlWy7bl7wc8sMgRNuYj6ICbbl1IW2X41WCMoPZn7EadLTPBJAwAP8RCT6Y4FjxzZfK0youN6ORE/s1600/floating10.jpg"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhCBwkrDDWCzAaIeEx7qz_sT4cgJpFLVG4ptO0gQyVqM320rlpFyfESxEqLJt9TCch4UlWy7bl7wc8sMgRNuYj6ICbbl1IW2X41WCMoPZn7EadLTPBJAwAP8RCT6Y4FjxzZfK0youN6ORE/s400/floating10.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5404943947945663586" /></a><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhkPl_cCObTM_nzey1hfiTOVGTUluHcAa86L6nwcU8Z3xQDt_cXDzYs4kpJ1c1Q8HLLlQXWSOseP06S1HpV4AXuD3kF8wYPCSTZ1pq3JkNjQPf8OmpiqBl9j5E20PGxFRqX9p-U5o9VVTw/s1600/riley.jpg"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhkPl_cCObTM_nzey1hfiTOVGTUluHcAa86L6nwcU8Z3xQDt_cXDzYs4kpJ1c1Q8HLLlQXWSOseP06S1HpV4AXuD3kF8wYPCSTZ1pq3JkNjQPf8OmpiqBl9j5E20PGxFRqX9p-U5o9VVTw/s400/riley.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5404946098499403218" /></a>Jenna Rayhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13234056580173951281noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-801977207995719789.post-4074393300655969332009-10-12T23:59:00.000-07:002009-11-16T20:32:23.478-08:00Summer 2009<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiruDTa0Tw-CHWg0beTOD9anNzQz2toBht-WKGrNHFFB-l3fXBdfAc4l60ctJyRxkfRLDQ7FrAlpmg0AoBNXZaJ47Loa-pF-Xx2Lw8zkHr3Niv4ldfQeN6_JRWZI7RS4mE7hyZYIsm8XMQ/s1600/blog1.jpg"><img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiruDTa0Tw-CHWg0beTOD9anNzQz2toBht-WKGrNHFFB-l3fXBdfAc4l60ctJyRxkfRLDQ7FrAlpmg0AoBNXZaJ47Loa-pF-Xx2Lw8zkHr3Niv4ldfQeN6_JRWZI7RS4mE7hyZYIsm8XMQ/s320/blog1.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5404917027072664546" /></a><br />Wow I have some updating to do!! I don't know how I get so behind, but here it is, FALL, and I have missed an entire season on my blog. Sorry guys! Well lets get caught up really quickly. This summer was pretty amazing. I came home for about two weeks in between the spring and summer quarters and got to do lots of fun things. My family and the Cain family went to Buena Vista for some MUCH needed wakeboarding. Jim and I went to a dodger game and I got to see lots of babies!! Here are some pictures from my first trip home...<br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjO63TmksRNYLn8NbIKSNXOzf5cJJn4SRLcQswnujDLPMEwsuqDosnxWCOc80JrdDC7vf3J01_r2ooQOeoWN52C_6DfXe1Kr4B3MDlH-AMHrP9ItRDcn9OoxX5EBR5Dnlde5oh8P5DQv38/s1600/blog2.jpg"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjO63TmksRNYLn8NbIKSNXOzf5cJJn4SRLcQswnujDLPMEwsuqDosnxWCOc80JrdDC7vf3J01_r2ooQOeoWN52C_6DfXe1Kr4B3MDlH-AMHrP9ItRDcn9OoxX5EBR5Dnlde5oh8P5DQv38/s400/blog2.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5404917427289520562" /></a><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjx40WwkpB9Lj2HNp1dTXKDGSCofNM9hQvEPve4U74Gx0e_qZKCg-8b1xURlATLEc241Yb9iq7CcGzKAKNTyMXtcmyBAoYIgF-TiD4v5kVXSa4AfLiUM0KMg0-SubgUABj0_5PsNYQkgn0/s1600/blog4.jpg"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 300px; height: 400px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjx40WwkpB9Lj2HNp1dTXKDGSCofNM9hQvEPve4U74Gx0e_qZKCg-8b1xURlATLEc241Yb9iq7CcGzKAKNTyMXtcmyBAoYIgF-TiD4v5kVXSa4AfLiUM0KMg0-SubgUABj0_5PsNYQkgn0/s400/blog4.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5404925099161179554" /></a><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgmu9xPzmgjszfoCcbERFQc0wUFg0JKoW0ZnCbN4R67OTtc65V6SVRbvjzVS2_mO_47pY2k-27AfdRjL8rjfpkwVUQzaVMHjkk0cBslaVHDzzVTYiduGQYK8bCfDyvGh95g5ZUxoVhYzDs/s1600/blog3.jpg"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgmu9xPzmgjszfoCcbERFQc0wUFg0JKoW0ZnCbN4R67OTtc65V6SVRbvjzVS2_mO_47pY2k-27AfdRjL8rjfpkwVUQzaVMHjkk0cBslaVHDzzVTYiduGQYK8bCfDyvGh95g5ZUxoVhYzDs/s400/blog3.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5404925092267240018" /></a><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhAadrAoW4O3ouPgLFm-N6UF3x7Cz5iMG9NFWFqFqWBWGASNijHc9_tJ1pgaDM8WMASrhJ1UNSVynV8bx_dQNUhVEAVWvv5syba0rYlyDjnEiymBSKiyomC44ehPI4wPfi3vX_rqlNW4PY/s1600/Blog7.jpg"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhAadrAoW4O3ouPgLFm-N6UF3x7Cz5iMG9NFWFqFqWBWGASNijHc9_tJ1pgaDM8WMASrhJ1UNSVynV8bx_dQNUhVEAVWvv5syba0rYlyDjnEiymBSKiyomC44ehPI4wPfi3vX_rqlNW4PY/s400/Blog7.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5404925104755779506" /></a><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjwCsB9_1_hqHSKY1XrceQcCMZ6xy7DdFOIFcu51agAVVwM9ZEJdZyuzETlJqC_YrI04n418Eid0Q0ef2Zi9Anx3EjLmBs2MLIEEuubXGRx-NSHWWuJHbNzEBqQyaBb_NodzpoAcSOGwlM/s1600/blog6.jpg"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 246px; height: 400px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjwCsB9_1_hqHSKY1XrceQcCMZ6xy7DdFOIFcu51agAVVwM9ZEJdZyuzETlJqC_YrI04n418Eid0Q0ef2Zi9Anx3EjLmBs2MLIEEuubXGRx-NSHWWuJHbNzEBqQyaBb_NodzpoAcSOGwlM/s400/blog6.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5404925104228246322" /></a>Jenna Rayhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13234056580173951281noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-801977207995719789.post-14140549279802355152009-06-06T17:47:00.000-07:002009-06-06T18:27:55.688-07:00The Cuthbert...<center><a href="http://s4.photobucket.com/albums/y102/jenna48/?action=view¤t=3035477047_279e18ece2-1-1.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y102/jenna48/3035477047_279e18ece2-1-1.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a><br /><br />The Cuthbert is a really awesome ampitheatre near the edge of Alton Baker Park and walking distance from my apartment. For those of you in California it is very much like the Greek Theater. The best part about the Cuthbert is right outside of it. It is placed right on a little stem off of the Willamette river with grass and trees. Tons of people just bring picnics and boats and hang out right out side the show for free and still get to enjoy the awesome music. I got to go last sunday with A friend of the Darcy family Matt and all the kids from when I lived with Debi. It was such a fun time just hanging out at the river and listening to Santigold, which I really enjoyed. Matt had brought a little blow up kiyak and took me down the river a bit. I loved the atmosphere.. it reminded me of a Greatful Dead concert from when I was little. It is times like these that I am so glad I moved to Eugene. This sunday Ziggy Marley and 311 are playing and I plan to be there! <br /><br /><a href="http://s4.photobucket.com/albums/y102/jenna48/?action=view¤t=0524091954-00.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y102/jenna48/0524091954-00.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a><br><br><a href="http://s4.photobucket.com/albums/y102/jenna48/?action=view¤t=0524091957-00.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y102/jenna48/0524091957-00.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a><br><br><br /><br />Its hard to see in the pics but the person in the middle of the red boat is dressed like a really funny looking wizard.. like a disney character.. the kids were going crazy over him haha. Fun Sunday for sure!! After this we went back to the Darcy house (my previous residence) and sat around a campfire in the back yard.. I love the weekends!</center>Jenna Rayhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13234056580173951281noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-801977207995719789.post-73235454772717892732009-06-06T17:32:00.000-07:002009-06-06T17:43:29.268-07:00The cat and the frog..<center>Here is some Hilarious video of Harlie trying oh so hard to get into the fish tank to get to the frog. Homework?!I have no complaints about the weather in Eugene. Spring has been an amazing season... yes we have seasons here in Oregon! Something I am not quite used to growing up in Southern California. So why would I be kept inside by homework?? Shana and I decided to pour ourselves a glass of wine, sit out in our little front yard and study in the sun. Harlie also joined us outside on her harness and leash.. she is such a scaredy cat but very curious at the same time. We choose portland mostly because it is the only city in Oregon with an Ikea and we wanted to get some stuff for our apartment but we also wanted to go to the Zoo! I haven't been to the zoo in LA in years!! besides the packs of screaming kids, the zoo was very enjoyable. <br /><br /><a href="http://s4.photobucket.com/albums/y102/jenna48/?action=view¤t=DSCN1911.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y102/jenna48/DSCN1911.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a><br><br><a href="http://s4.photobucket.com/albums/y102/jenna48/?action=view¤t=DSCN1916-1.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y102/jenna48/DSCN1916-1.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a><br><br><a href="http://s4.photobucket.com/albums/y102/jenna48/?action=view¤t=DSCN1917.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y102/jenna48/DSCN1917.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a><br><br><a href="http://s4.photobucket.com/albums/y102/jenna48/?action=view¤t=DSCN1936.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y102/jenna48/DSCN1936.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a><br><br><a href="http://s4.photobucket.com/albums/y102/jenna48/?action=view¤t=DSCN1952.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y102/jenna48/DSCN1952.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a><br><br><a href="http://s4.photobucket.com/albums/y102/jenna48/?action=view¤t=DSCN1963.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y102/jenna48/DSCN1963.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a><br><br><a href="http://s4.photobucket.com/albums/y102/jenna48/?action=view¤t=DSCN1965.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y102/jenna48/DSCN1965.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a><br><br><a href="http://s4.photobucket.com/albums/y102/jenna48/?action=view¤t=DSCN1951.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y102/jenna48/DSCN1951.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a><br><br><a href="http://s4.photobucket.com/albums/y102/jenna48/?action=view¤t=DSCN1974.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y102/jenna48/DSCN1974.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a><br><br><a href="http://s4.photobucket.com/albums/y102/jenna48/?action=view¤t=DSCN1979.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y102/jenna48/DSCN1979.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a><br><br><br /><br /><br />Got to love the animals!! They were so cute. The Portland Zoo had an amazing selection of animals and are doing alot of construction to bring even more! Can't wait to go back to see them. After the Zoo we drove into downtown and found and amazing little Thai restraunt .. it was the best thai food I've ever had!! It is a tiny little place.. only had about 5 tables that we saw, and we were the only ones in the place! But I have a feeling that place is hard to get into at night.. If you ever visit Portland make sure you hit Kinara Thai Bistro!<br /><br /><a href="http://s4.photobucket.com/albums/y102/jenna48/?action=view¤t=kinara_ext_01.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y102/jenna48/kinara_ext_01.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a><br><br><a href="http://s4.photobucket.com/albums/y102/jenna48/?action=view¤t=kinara_int_fr_01.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y102/jenna48/kinara_int_fr_01.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a><a href="http://s4.photobucket.com/albums/y102/jenna48/?action=view¤t=DSCN1988.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y102/jenna48/DSCN1988.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a><br /><br />With full bellies we drove around Downtown for a while. I love the architecture and buildings.. Portland is an amazingly beautiful city. We then stopped for dessert at this crazy doghnut shop called Voodoo Doughnuts where they make Vegan doughnuts! Only in Oregon LOL. They have all different kinds .. including some with cereal on top such as fruitloops. I got one with rasberry tang and sprinkles and let me tell ya it was amazing! After the Doughnuts we got back on the freeway where we finished our day off with my favorite place to shop.. IKEA! Shana and I bought some really cute things for our apartment! I will post pics soon of that to...<br /><br /><a href="http://s4.photobucket.com/albums/y102/jenna48/?action=view¤t=DSCN1990.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y102/jenna48/DSCN1990.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a><br><br><a href="http://s4.photobucket.com/albums/y102/jenna48/?action=view¤t=DSCN2000.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y102/jenna48/DSCN2000.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a><br><br><a href="http://s4.photobucket.com/albums/y102/jenna48/?action=view¤t=DSCN2005.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y102/jenna48/DSCN2005.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a><br><br><a href="http://s4.photobucket.com/albums/y102/jenna48/?action=view¤t=voodoo1d.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y102/jenna48/voodoo1d.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a><br><br><a href="http://s4.photobucket.com/albums/y102/jenna48/?action=view¤t=DSCN1992.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y102/jenna48/DSCN1992.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a><br><br><a href="http://s4.photobucket.com/albums/y102/jenna48/?action=view¤t=DSCN2021.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y102/jenna48/DSCN2021.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a><br /><br /><br />Such a wonderful trip with my roommate in Portland!Jenna Rayhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13234056580173951281noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-801977207995719789.post-57363333112174908662009-04-26T16:49:00.000-07:002009-05-14T19:28:02.237-07:00Dorris Ranch<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgZtL7lWo89PSDMlgl9frpNLYT2A2W1PhTDbCPg_-LZ8qNJmJc9I6QWhsM3rO5UkBHkh1oonqyC2K59eHY3-V6QkJ0ocT7UHF7EKqCDwns7p-VEcfy8MyXwhw64NmKXImP2jJbmI7vLHOI/s1600-h/l_a11870ed4b3a47af8414009676c9a0fb.jpg"><img style="float:left; It is a old Hazelnut Ranch from 1903 that is now a historical area with running trails that go between the hazelnut trees and down by the willamette river. It is a truly beautiful place. They even have days where they have "living history" when poeple dress up in period costumes and act out the days of the old ranch. It is still a working Hazelnut ranch as well. I love finding fun little places like this and exploring my new town.Jenna Rayhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13234056580173951281noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-801977207995719789.post-41576645833753504242009-04-17T12:06:00.000-07:002009-04-17T12:58:08.366-07:00Our new friends, and Harlie's new entertainment!<center>In the last couple weeks, Shana and I have been building up our new obsession. Our fish tank! I never thought I would love it s much, and the little fishies. It is a really nice 30 gallon fresh water tank with live plants and a new little cave that we randomly found in the dirt outside of our gym haha, SCORE! We have named the two fish we can Identify. The girl is Molly and we are hoping she will have babies soon and the boy is Noah (who wont leave molly alone!). We have a bunch more but they are so small and are still growing. Not only is it fun for us to have the aquarium, Harlie is obsessed with the fish! She sits and stares into the tank all day. Once we had the lid of and she was caught with her paws in the tank.. so we make sure the top is on at all time now lol. My favorite is when she walks behind the tank and it looks like she is in swimming with the fish. We are going to start introducing more fish within the next couple weeks. Im really excited to get a algie sucker! I definitely never thought I would become a "fish person" but it might have happened. It is just so pretty! Here are some fun pics...<br><br><a href="http://s4.photobucket.com/albums/y102/jenna48/?action=view¤t=DSCN1887-1.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y102/jenna48/DSCN1887-1.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a><br><br><a href="http://s4.photobucket.com/albums/y102/jenna48/?action=view¤t=DSCN1854-1.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y102/jenna48/DSCN1854-1.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a><br><br><a href="http://s4.photobucket.com/albums/y102/jenna48/?action=view¤t=DSCN1872-1.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y102/jenna48/DSCN1872-1.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a><br><br><a href="http://s4.photobucket.com/albums/y102/jenna48/?action=view¤t=DSCN1880.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y102/jenna48/DSCN1880.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a><br><br><a href="http://s4.photobucket.com/albums/y102/jenna48/?action=view¤t=DSCN1884.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y102/jenna48/DSCN1884.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a><br><br><a href="http://s4.photobucket.com/albums/y102/jenna48/?action=view¤t=DSCN1847-1.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y102/jenna48/DSCN1847-1.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a><br><br><br /><br />Yay for Fishies!!!!</center>Jenna Rayhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13234056580173951281noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-801977207995719789.post-10402614876636672452009-04-13T00:22:00.001-07:002009-04-13T00:50:30.131-07:00Spring is here!<center>The other day I was in my kitchen and I turned around to look out our sliding glass door when I noticed that our tree has exploded. It was all branches a few days ago and now it is beautiful, filled with these wonderful white blossoms that literally came over night. Shana and I were so excited that we decided to take some pictures. It makes cooking a lot more fun when we can look outside and see this beautiful tree. Spring has certainly arrived!<br /><a href="http://s4.photobucket.com/albums/y102/jenna48/?action=view¤t=DSCN1805-1-2.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y102/jenna48/DSCN1805-1-2.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a><br><br><a href="http://s4.photobucket.com/albums/y102/jenna48/?action=view¤t=DSCN1813-1-1.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y102/jenna48/DSCN1813-1-1.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a><br>we keep the birdies happy<br><a href="http://s4.photobucket.com/albums/y102/jenna48/?action=view¤t=DSCN1815-1.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y102/jenna48/DSCN1815-1.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a><br> Our little front yard :) <br /> Just driving around Eugene I can see signs of spring every where. Introducing... Shana!<center>So I moved into my new apartment and I LOVE it... and I love my new roomie as well! Her name is Shana, 21 from none other than Simi Valley. She is introducing me to the vegan lifestyle. I love trying the new foods but I think it will be hard to give up my meats and dairy so for now I have just added vegan foods to my diet. Today we went for a long walk along the amazing bike and walking paths just across the street from our place... these paths go from along the beautiful river to the forest to these great fields with wild flowers... and it is all just steps from our apartment. Shana also has a cat named Noodle... Harlie and Noodle are working on being friends but Harlie likes to play (pounce) and Noodle is a big scardey cat lol. Anyways life is good in apartment 115 as we all make this place home :). <br /><a href="http://s4.photobucket.com/albums/y102/jenna48/?action=view¤t=0406091822-02-1.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y102/jenna48/0406091822-02-1.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a><br><br><a href="http://s4.photobucket.com/albums/y102/jenna48/?action=view¤t=0406091822-00-1.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y102/jenna48/0406091822-00-1.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a><br>Here is a pic of the bike path and the running path right next to it.. </center>Jenna Rayhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13234056580173951281noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-801977207995719789.post-34260493807930971742009-04-07T01:36:00.001-07:002009-04-07T01:45:46.580-07:00Harlie's first snow...<center>Oregon welcomed Harlie with a bit of its odd weather, but she sure was curious!!! It was quite an adventure for her. I gave her some kitty downers to make the trip a little more comfortable. She was mostly out of her crate and would find the silliest places to sleep, Im sure the poeple driving next to me got a kick out of her sleeping on her back in the back window. She has adjusted very well to the Oregon life and I absolutely LOVE having her here. She always puts a smile on my face when I come home. <br /><a href="http://s4.photobucket.com/albums/y102/jenna48/?action=view¤t=0327091541-00.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y102/jenna48/0327091541-00.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a><br>Harlie Driving..<br><a href="http://s4.photobucket.com/albums/y102/jenna48/?action=view¤t=0328091852-00.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y102/jenna48/0328091852-00.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a><br> Watching the world go by...<br></center>Jenna Rayhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13234056580173951281noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-801977207995719789.post-6812396600434534562009-04-07T00:15:00.000-07:002009-04-07T01:27:39.673-07:00California for Spring Break...<center>I finally finished my first quarter at Lane and got to go home for my almost 2 week break. It didnt feel like two weeks at all and I barely got to see everyone I wanted to see, but I still had a nice time. I hate the drive though and next time I will definitely be flying. I got to spend a lot of time with Jim which was nice. We went to the beach one day and drove up bouquet canyon to the creek another... lots of fun stuff. I also finally got to meet Mr. Weston Paul Newman ... such a cutie. It was very hard to leave my parents again. I wish they would just move up here to Oregon.. It would make life a thousand times better but o well.. Here are some pictures of some california adventures. <br /><br /><a href="http://s4.photobucket.com/albums/y102/jenna48/?action=view¤t=IMG_0999-1-2.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y102/jenna48/IMG_0999-1-2.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a><br><br><a href="http://s4.photobucket.com/albums/y102/jenna48/?action=view¤t=IMG_1001-2-2.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y102/jenna48/IMG_1001-2-2.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a><br><br><a href="http://s4.photobucket.com/albums/y102/jenna48/?action=view¤t=IMG_1002-2-2.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y102/jenna48/IMG_1002-2-2.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a><br /><br />I wish I could have seen more people and other people more often.. hopefully next time! </center>Jenna Rayhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13234056580173951281noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-801977207995719789.post-51780737116535791192009-03-10T16:15:00.000-07:002009-03-10T18:45:58.306-07:00Let's get caught up... part two<center>Ok, Im gonna take a quick break from my homework to finish my update really quick. Lets see, I left off on my trip to washington. which was a blast and also my first time to washington I should add, So I can add another state to my list! After that I hit the books pretty hard and didn't really do much but on the weekends I get a little ansy so Debi decided to take me up to a place called Skinners Butte. It was a beautiful day. I must mention really quick that the weather has been amazing since I have been here... Chilly but usually always sunny. Im pretty sure the Oregonians tell other people that the weather here sucks as a ploy to keep people from moving here.. Im convinced lol. Anyways this was a beautiful sunny day so we took Riley, Debi's grandaughter who is four to Skinner's Butte and then this amazing park on the river that is so great for kids. Here are some pics from that fun day outside. <br /><a href="http://s4.photobucket.com/albums/y102/jenna48/?action=view¤t=DSCN1669-1.jpg" target="_blank"><br> Who said the sun doesn't shine in Oregon?<img src="http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y102/jenna48/DSCN1669-1.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a><br><a href="http://s4.photobucket.com/albums/y102/jenna48/?action=view¤t=DSCN1666.jpg" target="_blank"><br>A view over Eugene, my new apartment is right across the street from the U of O football Stadium (Autzen Stadium)<br><img src="http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y102/jenna48/DSCN1666.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a><a href="http://s4.photobucket.com/albums/y102/jenna48/?action=view¤t=DSCN1690-1.jpg" target="_blank"><br>At the park on the Willamette River.. Kaylei or Kay as I call her is Danielle's Daughter. She is almost 9 months old and is freaking adorable Since I have been here she has learned how to do so many different things and watching her figure them out is so fun. It brings me back to the days I watched Piper. Here are some pics of Miss Kay..<br /><a href="http://s4.photobucket.com/albums/y102/jenna48/?action=view¤t=DSCN1618.jpg" target="_blank"><br>Auntie Jenna play time!<br><img src="http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y102/jenna48/DSCN1618.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a><a href="http://s4.photobucket.com/albums/y102/jenna48/?action=view¤t=DSCN1625-1.jpg" target="_blank"><br>Nana Debi, Auntie Jenna and Miss Kay<br><img src="http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y102/jenna48/DSCN1625-1.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a><a href="http://s4.photobucket.com/albums/y102/jenna48/?action=view¤t=DSCN1701.jpg" target="_blank"><br>Kaylei's first ride in a shopping cart<br><br><img src="http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y102/jenna48/DSCN1701.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a><a href="http://s4.photobucket.com/albums/y102/jenna48/?action=view¤t=DSCN1719.jpg" target="_blank"><br>Standing all by herself!!<br><img src="http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y102/jenna48/DSCN1719.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a><object width="320" height="265"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/u69fvpOR6pQ&hl=en&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/u69fvpOR6pQ&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="320" height="265"></embed></object><br /><br />I love that little girl!!<br /><br />Also I got to see one of my closest friends from California when she came up to visit her family. Melissa got to stop by Eugene and have lunch and I got to show her a few places, like where I go to school, where I live right now and also my favorite park which I mentioned before..Hendricks Park....<br /><br /><a href="http://s4.photobucket.com/albums/y102/jenna48/?action=view¤t=n1409013501_258652_4420247.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y102/jenna48/n1409013501_258652_4420247.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a><a href="http://s4.photobucket.com/albums/y102/jenna48/?action=view¤t=n1409013501_258649_4629566.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y102/jenna48/n1409013501_258649_4629566.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a><br><a href="http://s4.photobucket.com/albums/y102/jenna48/?action=view¤t=n1409013501_258646_35338.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y102/jenna48/n1409013501_258646_35338.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a><br /><br />Hmm lets see what else... Oh 2 weeks ago my friend Tyler took me out to the coast. I had really wanted to go and was having a bad day so we just headed out there. The COAST (not beach lol) is about 45 min- an hour and the funny thing is you take the 126 highway out to get there... Sometimes I feel like Eugene is a parallel universe to Santa Clarita lol. Anyways we ended up heading to Newport which is quite a bit further than we thought but we really wanted to have lunch at the Rogue Brewery which was amazing and ofcourse had to sample some of their awesome brews. So far my favorite restaurant/brewery in Oregon. <br /><a href="http://s4.photobucket.com/albums/y102/jenna48/?action=view¤t=rogue-brewery-aerial-view.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y102/jenna48/rogue-brewery-aerial-view.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a> <br />After Lunch we headed back down the coat to Tyler's parents house which is literally on the water. So Awesome! On our way we had to stop and hike down a little bit .. Here are a couple more pics of the amazing Oregon Coast, one of the first reasons I ever even wanted to move to Oregon!<br /><a href="http://s4.photobucket.com/albums/y102/jenna48/?action=view¤t=DSCN1771.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y102/jenna48/DSCN1771.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a><a href="http://s4.photobucket.com/albums/y102/jenna48/?action=view¤t=DSCN1772.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y102/jenna48/DSCN1772.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a><a href="http://s4.photobucket.com/albums/y102/jenna48/?action=view¤t=DSCN1776.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y102/jenna48/DSCN1776.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a><a href="http://s4.photobucket.com/albums/y102/jenna48/?action=view¤t=DSCN1766-1.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y102/jenna48/DSCN1766-1.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a><a href="http://s4.photobucket.com/albums/y102/jenna48/?action=view¤t=DSCN1779.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y102/jenna48/DSCN1779.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a><br /><br />We had a great time at the beach and on the way home we stopped of at a casino to play the 5 dollar bill I had found on the beach .. and I won 20 bucks!! I dont think you can see much but there is a snowflake on my sleeve so here it is.. <br /><br /><a href="http://s4.photobucket.com/albums/y102/jenna48/?action=view¤t=DSCN1795.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y102/jenna48/DSCN1795.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a><br /><br />ANYWAYS .. whew that was a very long update but for the most part we are up to speed now. I am heading up to portland this weekend to finally see Laura and also my friend Geoff. Then I am coming home and packing up my room and moving some of my stuff over before I head down to California for Spring break!! I am so excited to see my family and friends.. and the newest addition to the world Weston!! Ill spend about a week in Cali and then Harlie and I (yep I get to take her home with me!!!!) head back up to my new apartment, finish moving in just in time to start the new quarter!! Life is so good right now, and I truly owe it all to my parents. Just keep praying that I find a job soon so I can help them out a lot. All right well Ive put off homework long enough and I promise I will update more often so keep checking back!! I sure do miss everyone!!!<br /><br />Bye for now :) <br />Jenna <br /><br /></center>Jenna Rayhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13234056580173951281noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-801977207995719789.post-24411283389501343282009-03-07T21:36:00.001-08:002009-03-08T01:39:59.477-08:00Let's get caught up... part one<center>So, I was going to try and do this whole organized update with a separate section for each fun event I have done while I have been in Oregon and it just is not going to happen. So I am going to put one hue and quick update and then attempt to keep on top of it after that. Since I have been in Oregon I have done a bunch of really fun things. I absolutely love it here and even though there have been a few bumps in the road, this has been one of the greatest times in my life. I have learned so much in just the two months I have been here. School is great, I have 2 weeks left in this quarter ( I LOVE THE QUARTER SYSTEM! ). My first day in Oregon was one of my favorites. Jim was still here and we had the whole morning before his flight home so we decided to explore a little and found some awesome parks including my favorite park, Hendricks Park. Here are some pics of my first day in Eugene...<br /><a href="http://s4.photobucket.com/albums/y102/jenna48/?action=view¤t=DSCN1506-2-1.jpg" target="_blank"><br> Me on a bridge over the Willamette River in Alton Baker Park<img src="http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y102/jenna48/DSCN1506-2-1.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a><a href="http://s4.photobucket.com/albums/y102/jenna48/?action=view¤t=l_57193db810ec4c11b1cae4d0e051be-1.jpg" target="_blank"><br> Jim and I in Alton Baker Park <img src="http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y102/jenna48/l_57193db810ec4c11b1cae4d0e051be-1.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a><br /><a href="http://s4.photobucket.com/albums/y102/jenna48/?action=view¤t=DSCN1541-1.jpg" target="_blank"><br>A house we passed while exploring.. just screams Eugene. lol<img src="http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y102/jenna48/DSCN1541-1.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a><a href="http://s4.photobucket.com/albums/y102/jenna48/?action=view¤t=DSCN1554-1.jpg" target="_blank"><br> Swings in Hendricks Park, held up by two trees!<img src="http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y102/jenna48/DSCN1554-1.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a><a href="http://s4.photobucket.com/albums/y102/jenna48/?action=view¤t=DSCN1561-1.jpg" target="_blank"><br> My favorite picture of Jim ever :)<br><img src="http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y102/jenna48/DSCN1561-1.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a><a href="http://s4.photobucket.com/albums/y102/jenna48/?action=view¤t=DSCN1547-1.jpg" target="_blank"><br> Hendricks Park.. a little piece of Heaven.<img src="http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y102/jenna48/DSCN1547-1.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a><a href="http://s4.photobucket.com/albums/y102/jenna48/?action=view¤t=n677997294_1045390_9791.jpg" target="_blank"><br> Goofing off on one of the trails in Hendricks Park.<img src="http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y102/jenna48/n677997294_1045390_9791.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a><br /><br />Also the picture on the heading of my blog was taken at Hendricks Park. We also went and explored a little at University of Oregon where I will be attending in the fall. Danyelle and I also made a fun quick trip up to Ft. Lewis in Washington, near Tacoma, where we went to a welcome home from Iraq party for a friend and got to go on base which I had never done before. It was very interesting. On the way home from washington it snowed all the way from Tacoma to a little past Portland, so that was fun..I do love the snow after all. Starting with the move to Eugene. The night before I left my parents took Jim and I out to dinner, which was sad for me, I knew how much I was going to miss every one at that table. After Dinner Jim and I met up with Kari and Steve at Bella Cucina to have a few goodbye drinks and Megan stopped by to say goodbye as well. When I got home, Sarah (my little sister in every way except biologically lol) came over and we stayed up all night talking and putting off the fact that I was leaving in the morning. It was a very emotional night for me, but not nearly as emotional as the next morning. Saying goodbye to my parents and driving away was the hardest thing I have ever done. I am so close to my parents and I felt like I was hurting them by moving so far away, it broke my heart. I gave my Kitty kisses, cried with my parents for about 20 minutes and by 6 AM I was off driving. I stopped on my way to the freeway to pick up a very important part of my road trip, Jim! He wanted to come along to make sure that I got up to Eugene safely since there was a lot of storms going on in northern California and Oregon. We stopped and got Starbucks and we were on our way! The drive was pretty smooth until we got to the Siskiyou Mountains where it started snowing pretty hard. I was so thankful for Jim at that point. Although driving in the snow was a little nerve racking (or in my case being in the passenger seat), it was absolutely beautiful.. <br /><a href="http://s4.photobucket.com/albums/y102/jenna48/?action=view¤t=DSCN1445.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y102/jenna48/DSCN1445.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a> <br> Lake Shasta, The water was so low!<br><a href="http://s4.photobucket.com/albums/y102/jenna48/?action=view¤t=DSCN1468.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y102/jenna48/DSCN1468.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a><br> Mount Shasta<br><a href="http://s4.photobucket.com/albums/y102/jenna48/?action=view¤t=DSCN1480.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y102/jenna48/DSCN1480.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a><br>The drive started getting a little scary!<br><a href="http://s4.photobucket.com/albums/y102/jenna48/?action=view¤t=DSCN1460.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y102/jenna48/DSCN1460.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a><br> Gorgeous! <br><a href="http://s4.photobucket.com/albums/y102/jenna48/?action=view¤t=DSCN1456.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y102/jenna48/DSCN1456.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a><br><br /><br />Once we got into Oregon it was so foggy we could barely see in front of us!! We stopped in Medford OR to say one last goodbye to Delaine, who happened to be visiting her family in Oregon. I got to see baby Reagan one last time although she was sleeping :( but she looked so cute in her little car seat. I sure am going to miss that little girl! <br /><br><br /><a href="http://s4.photobucket.com/albums/y102/jenna48/?action=view¤t=DSCN1485.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y102/jenna48/DSCN1485.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a><a href="http://s4.photobucket.com/albums/y102/jenna48/?action=view¤t=DSCN1482.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y102/jenna48/DSCN1482.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a><br> Before we got onto the freeway we stopped at my favorite place in Oregon, Dutch Bros., a drive through coffee shop and got my favorite drink.. a kicker! Yum! After that it was just 2 more hours and we pulled up to the house around 8:30 just in time to have a yummy dinner with the Darcy's, my new housemates!!! It was a long but not to bad journey... emotional for sure but also exciting. Having Jim with me was the best part of the trip. It would have been so scary with out him and I just plain enjoyed his company.. and his driving haha. I appreciate him so much, especially since he had to catch a flight the very next day to be at work by monday! So thats it! I am officially a California transplant in Oregon as one gas station attendant called me the other day. More updates soon to come!!!<br><a href="http://s4.photobucket.com/albums/y102/jenna48/?action=view¤t=DSCN1486-1.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y102/jenna48/DSCN1486-1.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a></center>Jenna Rayhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13234056580173951281noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-801977207995719789.post-60974004378964030642009-01-05T20:20:00.000-08:002009-01-05T21:40:01.245-08:00Christmas Kitty!Harlie just loves the Christmas season... every year she parks her little furry butt under the Christmas tree and doesnt move until it is gone. She also finds all of the new decorations very interesting and thinks that they are there for her own personal enjoyment. Here are some cute shots of her Christmas morning. Have I mentioned lately how much I love this cat??? <br /><br /><a href="http://viewmorepics.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=viewImage&friendID=280557289&albumID=1072546&imageID=14767550"><img src="http://hotlink.myspacecdn.com/images02/18/2cd2a3b026a849fda8e47e428741c07c/m.jpg" alt="" /></a><a href="http://viewmorepics.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=viewImage&friendID=280557289&albumID=1072546&imageID=14768346"><img src="http://hotlink.myspacecdn.com/images02/63/3a9614a8d903484495fbfe8f40b32831/m.jpg" alt="" /></a><br><br><a href="http://s4.photobucket.com/albums/y102/jenna48/?action=view¤t=DSCN1408.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y102/jenna48/DSCN1408.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a><br /><br />Isnt she just the cutest!!!<br /><br />Christmas morning was great as always. I love waking up and starting a fire in the fireplace while waiting for mom and dad. This year I was so tired from the night before that mom and dad were sitting there waiting for me which is definitely a fist for Christmas morning! We exchanged gifts, had our delicious (and I mean DELICIOUS) Lox and bagels... a holiday tradition in the Need household. After playing with our new toys a little we started to clean for the rest of the family to come over. It was the perfect Christmas morning :)<br /><br><br /><a href="http://s4.photobucket.com/albums/y102/jenna48/?action=view¤t=DSCN1411.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y102/jenna48/DSCN1411.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a><br> Mom and Dad on Christmas morning<br /><a href="http://s4.photobucket.com/albums/y102/jenna48/?action=view¤t=DSCN1424.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y102/jenna48/DSCN1424.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a><br> Our cute Christmas tree with the big white bulbs on it.. we were very excited for those this year :) <br><a href="http://s4.photobucket.com/albums/y102/jenna48/?action=view¤t=DSCN1417.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y102/jenna48/DSCN1417.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a><br> Yummy Lox....<br /><br /><br />Hope Everyone had a fantastic Holiday !!!!Jenna Rayhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13234056580173951281noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-801977207995719789.post-47347280583875195512008-12-30T23:32:00.000-08:002008-12-31T10:43:14.681-08:00Christmas Eve at the Cains<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjHIpzfKrXJkxM-04KWSyVJNnxxIOrDmpCzFvOaQLdSKEduSsQjOVsi95Dgz1xbxVf9eQvLzpQshfB3Xo94bYdBSrtkjbnhN5Qsc4wE1fdgOz-BK3oN9phHKTvUzWGxpAcVAyqYBcbn0Z8/s1600-h/DSCN1395-1.jpg"><img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjHIpzfKrXJkxM-04KWSyVJNnxxIOrDmpCzFvOaQLdSKEduSsQjOVsi95Dgz1xbxVf9eQvLzpQshfB3Xo94bYdBSrtkjbnhN5Qsc4wE1fdgOz-BK3oN9phHKTvUzWGxpAcVAyqYBcbn0Z8/s320/DSCN1395-1.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5286026646890320994" /></a><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiVxQBBGEDNCf6k3hsIGmJ7oZuewzGwi8ITVLvzfLbLcU_SHQBl6u3C5OpZsB7eCtxHp-Z56wOQ_mVMhjcOuCnXy-UohPzPH1pV3mHmDbhhh-QqZq4XgZt0XUKzutwwG1xXoJArzA72RKI/s1600-h/DSCN1402-1.jpg"><img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiVxQBBGEDNCf6k3hsIGmJ7oZuewzGwi8ITVLvzfLbLcU_SHQBl6u3C5OpZsB7eCtxHp-Z56wOQ_mVMhjcOuCnXy-UohPzPH1pV3mHmDbhhh-QqZq4XgZt0XUKzutwwG1xXoJArzA72RKI/s320/DSCN1402-1.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5286026456095942082" /></a><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj2D7DF3R3TP00orx8ZZW0ejTiy8ppjKU6ilK5SUwMtvCn-JjNbP_3b7SNRPFsFkewm9Xgruph0p11nbLyvl-zW16J6414v2RyLcGHVkZKTXBTTK9oAtBs8yTs1p2LGybe4OHx5mLLSU0U/s1600-h/DSCN1388-2.jpg"><img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 240px; height: 320px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj2D7DF3R3TP00orx8ZZW0ejTiy8ppjKU6ilK5SUwMtvCn-JjNbP_3b7SNRPFsFkewm9Xgruph0p11nbLyvl-zW16J6414v2RyLcGHVkZKTXBTTK9oAtBs8yTs1p2LGybe4OHx5mLLSU0U/s320/DSCN1388-2.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5286014206456784946" /></a><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgdMwyPDSdxovWQZNOD4mOAe6lUxb_9YWc4SruBdf5N1JC_pAgSRr9R4Jr48WOducJbElQbPI6RY8llKbpE27oMYuRn3cTFnZQ_Ccv__EL1vDJvExeKQJVPIxcwWNG9QyFj28AllD4hlsY/s1600-h/DSCN1385.JPG"><img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgdMwyPDSdxovWQZNOD4mOAe6lUxb_9YWc4SruBdf5N1JC_pAgSRr9R4Jr48WOducJbElQbPI6RY8llKbpE27oMYuRn3cTFnZQ_Ccv__EL1vDJvExeKQJVPIxcwWNG9QyFj28AllD4hlsY/s320/DSCN1385.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5285857247051359746" /></a><br />As the tradition goes; the Cain, Need, Hughes, and Vanluwen families go to the Cain household for Christmas Eve for tamales, gifts and fun. Usually some of us see each other twice a year (buena vista and christmas). We have been getting together Christmas Eve for over 15 years now maybe longer. This year Maxine and Paul came and brought Max's daughter and grandaughter. Ryan brought his girlfriend and my close friend Amy all the way from Sacramento, and Jeff brought his girlfriend Beth, then of course there was me, Brett, Sarah, Derek, Samantha and all the parents. We ate the typical Christmas Eve dinner of Tamales and then Sarah and I got addicted to Guitar Hero on Wii. We all exchanged gifts and chatted up a storm. I got to say my goodbyes to everyone which was nice, Plus seeing Ryan and Amy is always fun! Then I had to rush home and go to sleep so Santa could come :).Jenna Rayhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13234056580173951281noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-801977207995719789.post-9806100998086184862008-12-30T00:55:00.000-08:002008-12-30T06:01:49.063-08:00A visitor from Atlanta..<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiamdMsmcVHF-D1Ea8gzsRU1dTQUWAMlpm6rpjfiVUsNm-G2x5Nt6N_yMVgRSvNJmSlcNacE2ArWQs_ZmjbqYQk6WE4gwBMk-qvw6h9Aq5poH2Mg0OAcxpMDh-CoqYg0jCgo83xOInaOLU/s1600-h/P1010002.JPG"><img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 240px; height: 320px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiamdMsmcVHF-D1Ea8gzsRU1dTQUWAMlpm6rpjfiVUsNm-G2x5Nt6N_yMVgRSvNJmSlcNacE2ArWQs_ZmjbqYQk6WE4gwBMk-qvw6h9Aq5poH2Mg0OAcxpMDh-CoqYg0jCgo83xOInaOLU/s320/P1010002.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5285582753444955938" /></a><br />Finally after a long 3 1/2 years of not seeing my dear friend/ family member Jessie from Atlanta ( our mommy's have been friends since 3rd grade!!) , she came to visit! Unfortunately I only got to see her for two days because of Christmas and the big move of mine that I would be making in a few days but we had fun none the less. The first night I picked her up and grabbed a drink at Fridays really quick and the next day she was such a tired girl from all her hard work at home and travels that she slept the whole day haha!! But then we got all dolled up and headed to my favorite bar Howl at the Moon. I was glad I got to go one more time before I left. It turned out to be a "you sing it night" which is basically Karaoke, and though I did NOT sing, I was very tempted when some girls started butchering Hotel California, how dare they!! :) It was great to see Jessie and I hope it is not another 3 years before she comes to visit or even I go to Atlanta (seeing how it has been since 1994 for me lol).Jenna Rayhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13234056580173951281noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-801977207995719789.post-12896345969560956942008-12-26T00:31:00.000-08:002008-12-26T01:48:40.284-08:00Snow and Sushi... Jim and I ventured up the grapevine (stopping at Starbucks for hot Chai Tea of course) and I must admit I was a little nervous because it had seemed all the snow had melted, but once we got there there was a ton of snow! Of course being the instigator that I am, I through the first snowball :) and that started a war. He got me really good when I thought it was over but then later while making a snowman, I took him by surprise and nailed him with the entire head of the snowman!! I won haha. We also found the top of a plastic box and decided to try and sled, it worked enough to have a little fun. All in all it was one of my favorite trips to the snow.<br><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi5z4XjakiacrP1h_4LNdGhDHF3ROQyFdUO692CfPgXmIQzJpGQ8zKiEqteXjbtWH3c_X_jrK4c9Q3imXEg6c-6sXi4hgUZX2i0nreXDf47mDm0Md5yx1g4ov9avcEIHuzqVjfU7QpOlq4/s1600-h/DSCN1333-1.jpg"><img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 240px; height: 320px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi5z4XjakiacrP1h_4LNdGhDHF3ROQyFdUO692CfPgXmIQzJpGQ8zKiEqteXjbtWH3c_X_jrK4c9Q3imXEg6c-6sXi4hgUZX2i0nreXDf47mDm0Md5yx1g4ov9avcEIHuzqVjfU7QpOlq4/s320/DSCN1333-1.jpg" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5284017038265174034"></a><br><br><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhithxa2CiajJKEscnudNYa0FK1NZycpy9Y77njiQ033kYyEe6WVrNpQDqJlz7D2OaqbZuZXoNZdWpsD4G2yGd04eyCYCsg0YXWkI0__MDVsAyTlN8dSH2Uep8_ox1zIzRYJwehUQO_Csc/s1600-h/DSCN1351-1.jpg"><img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 240px; height: 320px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhithxa2CiajJKEscnudNYa0FK1NZycpy9Y77njiQ033kYyEe6WVrNpQDqJlz7D2OaqbZuZXoNZdWpsD4G2yGd04eyCYCsg0YXWkI0__MDVsAyTlN8dSH2Uep8_ox1zIzRYJwehUQO_Csc/s320/DSCN1351-1.jpg" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5284017191638644962"></a><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg-eD1pZGslARUZ-v2sDuapB0xSvicAFUNaAPi8taXB6VFUjvk9NQ1f6ZJI7vGj9KGCI0x8oIqzaNtcTVMsrAyr113LkXVdkOSnawjkd-0zK9EGDID-HrGJ6fFurx65ZAiIam1FVP7I4AY/s1600-h/DSCN1348-1.jpg"><img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 240px; height: 320px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg-eD1pZGslARUZ-v2sDuapB0xSvicAFUNaAPi8taXB6VFUjvk9NQ1f6ZJI7vGj9KGCI0x8oIqzaNtcTVMsrAyr113LkXVdkOSnawjkd-0zK9EGDID-HrGJ6fFurx65ZAiIam1FVP7I4AY/s320/DSCN1348-1.jpg" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5284017348737894050"></a><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhIfGfBzuIrCvIOpV7VmDDyMEsug2JixUbkJuS8HGiclHWvqMfM2Fqx5TcO8mo5NIMxDQ85WajWSKozQTSxyFOCqVrapllzJ0GP-4cZ3mwrrGJHbQX9JuQl-5bItQnYh-pPjjZIP1_xjSo/s1600-h/DSCN1373-1.jpg"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 230px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhIfGfBzuIrCvIOpV7VmDDyMEsug2JixUbkJuS8HGiclHWvqMfM2Fqx5TcO8mo5NIMxDQ85WajWSKozQTSxyFOCqVrapllzJ0GP-4cZ3mwrrGJHbQX9JuQl-5bItQnYh-pPjjZIP1_xjSo/s320/DSCN1373-1.jpg" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5284021430737491970"></a>One loved guy!!!<br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhaPR1S0edWuZj_Ladii9eC1nQeBHd3cFY-vCi3MhAAXke3eK331UjvXKbGfKXnT0CoyNgRi1-O79ji8AWiwiqQVSpC2MPvpKtirmDprdfXt4PpajykvGKlFQ2kpjMWdNGTy_dx5RojgvE/s1600-h/DSCN1372-1.jpg"><img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 240px; height: 320px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhaPR1S0edWuZj_Ladii9eC1nQeBHd3cFY-vCi3MhAAXke3eK331UjvXKbGfKXnT0CoyNgRi1-O79ji8AWiwiqQVSpC2MPvpKtirmDprdfXt4PpajykvGKlFQ2kpjMWdNGTy_dx5RojgvE/s320/DSCN1372-1.jpg" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5284021207431096626"></a><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhXNAQ4SxdBtrIc6MzA0tZLCr4VkFRxIabGBn9h-4CbRZ2W0n2PBnN1qWbxMb6NSaamscUZ5cNbxfSVqlkUdF3IwYa3Z7aFXg807MnjdFnikHpN5lONXF5m5Pr1CLZ2XIEfSui_qJmTKxQ/s1600-h/DSCN1356-1.jpg"><img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 190px; height: 320px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhXNAQ4SxdBtrIc6MzA0tZLCr4VkFRxIabGBn9h-4CbRZ2W0n2PBnN1qWbxMb6NSaamscUZ5cNbxfSVqlkUdF3IwYa3Z7aFXg807MnjdFnikHpN5lONXF5m5Pr1CLZ2XIEfSui_qJmTKxQ/s320/DSCN1356-1.jpg" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5284020912680795714"></a><br /><br /><br /><br />After the snow we had to rush home so I could get ready for the premier party for the sushi restaurant/club that my dad built. It is called Club Sushi and is right next to the Cinerama Dome on Sunset Blvd. a premier location. The party was allot of fun, we got to go in the VIP (where my dad has a lifetime membership along with Michael Jordan) and we got to eat a lot of yummy sushi. It was great seeing the final results of something I saw in the early stages of construction and seeing how proud my dad was that he was a huge part of the project. I loved spending time with my parents. Afterwards we walked across the street to Amoeba Records, the BEST used/new music store ever, where I purchased the Eagles album Desperado which I am absolutely loving right now! The day was a fantastic one, two of my favorite things, snow and sushi, with my favorite people....<br /><br />Here are a couple videos of Jim and I sledding....<br /><br /><br><iframe allowfullscreen='allowfullscreen' webkitallowfullscreen='webkitallowfullscreen' mozallowfullscreen='mozallowfullscreen' width='320' height='266' src='https://www.blogger.com/video.g?token=AD6v5dwszka5gO9z5dEniSGZiUGghIh5lPQbltCuAZ5P6jpeCx1Jqk_1v0__w4yqcbXwy29gwWMqjLTaXSksghjB_w' class='b-hbp-video b-uploaded' frameborder='0'></iframe><br><br /><object width="320" height="266"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/aZv7lQGOVs0&hl=en&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/aZv7lQGOVs0&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="320" height="266"></embed></object>Jenna Rayhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13234056580173951281noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-801977207995719789.post-30932087571205660292008-12-23T14:16:00.000-08:002008-12-23T14:50:25.058-08:003rd Annual Christmas Party!!<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhV6ySVgm5IMnDHO-GdgLSXoKqYlbxhyU87_ewExxpMjPyhaAFqFygpp8cGZdUG8rdRZO5EBxBY4OVYaKPNvDL7Y-7t1djYHGyVBURIQQT8o4pM8GopoFgUQ0Ch2GDiqZ4jrIhWjVcGtFc/s1600-h/IMG_3356.JPG"><img style="float:right; It was a blast a usual. With delicious foods and deserts, fun games and great fellowship.. this year was especially important to me because it was the last time I was going to see a few of my friends before I move up to Oregon. I brought my friend Jim with me and he fit right in and had a blast playing guitar hero with the guys ( I sang ...badly haha). It was especially fun this year having two new additions to the gang, Reagan (Dan and Delaine's little girl) and Ethan (Kenny and Katherine's little boy). Also having both Kellie and Ashley pregnant, the gang will soon grow by two more! <br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br />I am really going to miss these friends, they have grown to be more like family. They are the kind of friends I can only hope to make up in Oregon! I am hoping that next year I will be able to make it down for the 4th Annual Christmas Party :)Jenna Rayhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13234056580173951281noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-801977207995719789.post-2281440597441077362008-12-21T17:43:00.000-08:002008-12-21T17:49:30.808-08:00My new home!So it Eugene has recently been pounded with snow, which I learned is not as typical as I thought. Kelly got married last year and I was lucky enough to go to her wedding also which was a crazy weekend but this year it was pure relax mode and catch up time! I stayed with her and her hubby Nathan in their townhouse they are renting. One of the days Kelly and I went and looked at houses. I cant believe what you get for your money there! We found a few of Kelly's dream houses but she still has to convince her other half haha. We had alot of yummy meals out and one that sure was fun but warning to all: DO NOT EAT SUSHI IN TENNESSEE ... it is just not good haha. I guess I am spoiled living right next to the ocean. Afterwards we went out with some of Kel's friends to a bar which was alot of fun! On Saturday night The Miller family had a cook out ( BBQ) lol ... and I had so much fun catching up with the fam. I am moving to Eugene OR Dec. 27Th! I will be living with a family friend Debi Darcy until I get a job and find a place to live, going to school at Lane Community College until the Fall when I hope to be starting at University of Oregon. I wouldn't be able to do this with out my parents who are helping me out tremendously, I am truly blessed with this opportunity. I have a quarter ( three months) to prove myself to them otherwise I am coming back home. Many emotions are going through me right now, excitement of course, but also nervousness and a little sadness. I will be missing a lot in my friends lives. Most are having babies and I would love to be here for them and see their families grow but I really feel like it is my time to shine! I need to live my life for me and I have wanted this for so long. I love Oregon and I feel like I will be able to truly be myself there. Hopefully I will find a great church and meet new friends through it. Anyways Keep me in your prayers..I need them!Jenna Rayhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13234056580173951281noreply@blogger.com0
