Let's get caught up... part two

Ok, Im gonna take a quick break from my homework to finish my update really quick. Lets see, I left off on my trip to washington. which was a blast and also my first time to washington I should add, So I can add another state to my list! After that I hit the books pretty hard and didn't really do much but on the weekends I get a little ansy so Debi decided to take me up to a place called Skinners Butte. It was a beautiful day. I must mention really quick that the weather has been amazing since I have been here... Chilly but usually always sunny. Im pretty sure the Oregonians tell other people that the weather here sucks as a ploy to keep people from moving here.. Im convinced lol. Anyways this was a beautiful sunny day so we took Riley, Debi's grandaughter who is four to Skinner's Butte and then this amazing park on the river that is so great for kids. Here are some pics from that fun day outside.

Who said the sun doesn't shine in Oregon?Photobucket

It was a very fun day .
So I havent mentioned miss Kaylei Mae yet which is surprising because she is one of my favorite people in Oregon. Kaylei or Kay as I call her is Danielle's Daughter. She is almost 9 months old and is freaking adorable Since I have been here she has learned how to do so many different things and watching her figure them out is so fun. It brings me back to the days I watched Piper. Here are some pics of Miss Kay..

Also I got to see one of my closest friends from California when she came up to visit her family. Melissa got to stop by Eugene and have lunch and I got to show her a few places, like where I go to school, where I live right now and also my favorite park which I mentioned before..Hendricks Park....

Hmm lets see what else... Oh 2 weeks ago my friend Tyler took me out to the coast. I had really wanted to go and was having a bad day so we just headed out there. The COAST (not beach lol) is about 45 min- an hour and the funny thing is you take the 126 highway out to get there... Sometimes I feel like Eugene is a parallel universe to Santa Clarita lol. Anyways we ended up heading to Newport which is quite a bit further than we thought but we really wanted to have lunch at the Rogue Brewery which was amazing and ofcourse had to sample some of their awesome brews. So far my favorite restaurant/brewery in Oregon.

After Lunch we headed back down the coat to Tyler's parents house which is literally on the water. So Awesome! On our way we had to stop and hike down a little bit .. Here are a couple more pics of the amazing Oregon Coast, one of the first reasons I ever even wanted to move to Oregon!

We had a great time at the beach and on the way home we stopped of at a casino to play the 5 dollar bill I had found on the beach .. and I won 20 bucks!! I didnt want to push my luck so I stopped there lol.

Ever since then I have pretty much been at the Knight Library at University of Oregon.. I can stay here all night long so it has been my new home..

And this is for my father who wants pictures of everything.. even though this will only be my room for about 9 more days .. this is where I have been laying my head down at night and doing all my studying!!

Hope you like them Daddy! Ill take more pics of everything up here soon I promise!!

ONE MORE THING haha, this got me pretty excited.. the last few days it has been snowing!! Everyone knows how much I love snow but I must admit this is the weirdest snow ever ... it will snow really hard, huuuge flakes and then 20 minutes later it will be sunny and not a cloud in the sky.. and then snowwwwww, and then sunny... so strange, well I tried to take a picture of the snow.. I dont think you can see much but there is a snowflake on my sleeve so here it is..

ANYWAYS .. whew that was a very long update but for the most part we are up to speed now. I am heading up to portland this weekend to finally see Laura and also my friend Geoff. Then I am coming home and packing up my room and moving some of my stuff over before I head down to California for Spring break!! I am so excited to see my family and friends.. and the newest addition to the world Weston!! Ill spend about a week in Cali and then Harlie and I (yep I get to take her home with me!!!!) head back up to my new apartment, finish moving in just in time to start the new quarter!! Life is so good right now, and I truly owe it all to my parents. Just keep praying that I find a job soon so I can help them out a lot. All right well Ive put off homework long enough and I promise I will update more often so keep checking back!! I sure do miss everyone!!!

Bye for now :)

Let's get caught up... part one

So, I was going to try and do this whole organized update with a separate section for each fun event I have done while I have been in Oregon and it just is not going to happen. So I am going to put one hue and quick update and then attempt to keep on top of it after that. Since I have been in Oregon I have done a bunch of really fun things. I absolutely love it here and even though there have been a few bumps in the road, this has been one of the greatest times in my life. I have learned so much in just the two months I have been here. School is great, I have 2 weeks left in this quarter ( I LOVE THE QUARTER SYSTEM! ). My first day in Oregon was one of my favorites. Jim was still here and we had the whole morning before his flight home so we decided to explore a little and found some awesome parks including my favorite park, Hendricks Park. Here are some pics of my first day in Eugene...

Also the picture on the heading of my blog was taken at Hendricks Park. We also went and explored a little at University of Oregon where I will be attending in the fall. It is a beautiful campus and I cant wait to be a Duck!

Since I have been here in Oregon I have had a lot of fun nights out with Debi's daughter and current roommate Danyelle, starting off on New Years, and often we head over to a very fun sports bar called The Cooler for dollar beer night on thursday nights. Danyelle and I also made a fun quick trip up to Ft. Lewis in Washington, near Tacoma, where we went to a welcome home from Iraq party for a friend and got to go on base which I had never done before. It was very interesting. On the way home from washington it snowed all the way from Tacoma to a little past Portland, so that was fun..I do love the snow after all. Here are some pictures from New Years and Washington.. and a few misc. pictures as well :)...
